Integrative Medicine Austin

What if you could feel confident that you were taking care of your health and not the other way around? Imagine being able to avoid prescription medications that have dangerous side effects. Imagine being able to enjoy life again, knowing that your health issues are behind you.

That is what holistic and functional medicine can provide. Rather than just treating symptoms, integrative medicine austin focuses on the underlying causes of disease by addressing biological, environmental, psychosocial and spiritual dimensions of health and healing. It seeks to improve quality of life by balancing hormones, improving immunity through gut health and eliminating toxic exposures. It promotes longevity by improving nutritional status and reducing chronic inflammation.

Integrative medicine is an approach to health care that encompasses conventional medical treatment and alternative therapies such as acupuncture, botanicals, massage therapy, chiropractic, osteopathic manipulation and physical therapy. It aims to integrate these practices into mainstream medical practice within a framework that emphasizes health, the therapeutic relationship and the whole person. It also promotes self-healing through exercise, healthy diet and sleep and the use of appropriate interventions. It neither rejects conventional treatments nor accepts alternative therapies uncritically and should be open to all effective approaches.

AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine offers regionally accredited master’s and doctoral degree programs in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine. Its 2023 tuition and fees are $18,686 for in-state residents and $17,020 for out of state residents. This is a 5% increase over last year’s tuition.

In addition to offering integrative medicine austin, AOMA provides a wide variety of other services and treatments including intravenous nutrient therapy and medical aesthetics. Its mission is to transform lives and communities through education, patient care, leadership, research and innovation in integrative healthcare.

When you come in for your first appointment, you can expect to spend 1 and 1/2 hours for a new patient consultation. During this visit we will do an extensive history and exam. Depending on your condition it may be necessary to order labs or x-rays before we make a working diagnosis. Usually during this initial visit we will start some sort of treatment or supplementation to get you on the right track.

During your visit you can expect to talk a lot, as we will explore your entire medical history and the circumstances surrounding your first symptoms. We will also discuss your family and personal health history, lifestyle and genetics to get a better understanding of what may be causing your condition. We will then work together to create a personalized nutrition, supplement and lifestyle plan to help you regain optimal health. You will then return to the office for a follow-up visit and we will monitor your progress and make adjustments as needed. This is how we can ensure that you are getting the best possible results. Our goal is to help you become the CEO of your own health! We hope to see you soon! Call us today to schedule an appointment.
